NEURODIVERSITY COACHING, CONSULTANCY AND WORKSHOPS

NEURODIVERSITY WORKSHOPS

WHY INVEST IN NEURODIVERSITY EDUCATION?

More than 1 in 7 of us are neurodivergent. That means it is likely that at least 1 in 7 of your colleagues and customers are also neurodivergent.

Investing in becoming a neuro-inclusive business means that you will be able to make the most of the brains in your workforce, as well as attracting a wider customer pool.

When properly put into place, neuro-inclusive practices can help build more open and honest teams, driving creativity and problem solving.

What is it?

1 hour, 2 hour, half day and full day interactive workshops designed to increase both business and employee understanding of how to empower neurodivergent employees in the workplace.

Workshops cover topics such as:

  • An introduction to Neurodiversity in the Workplace
  • Neurodiversity for Leaders
  • Neuro-inclusive Recruitment
  • The Language of Neurodiversity
  • Reasonable Accommodations
  • Neuro-inclusive User Centred Design

“I attended the neurodiversity workshop as a neurodiverse person myself, purely to see what new things I could learn. It really highlighted some of the simple yet impactful changes that organisations can make, to support people to become the best they can be.

The activities highlighted some of the assumptions we make, without knowing the full story. Becca is a great speaker and her presentation was very informative. I would thoroughly recommend attending a session if you can, because it's amazing what you can learn about yourself and others.”

Campaigns and Admin Assistant at Campaign for Learning

“I thoroughly enjoyed the Neurodiversity workshop hosted by Becca Brighty.

I left with a better understanding of what neurodiversity is, what it is not, and a neurodivergent perspective. The practical exercises were a great insight and I left with knowledge that I can apply in both my work life, advising and supporting others, and personal as my niece is neurodivergent.

Becca was a great host who is clearly passionate about the subject and shares her experiences openly with such honesty.”

NEURODIVERSITY COACHING

Coaching from Becca Brighty, ADHDer, Organisational Psychologist and Workplace Confidence and Resilience Coach.

Why invest in coaching for neurodivergent employees?

In general coaching is one of the fastest and most effective ways of improving performance, but this is even more so for those who are neurodivergent.

For certain conditions, e.g., ADHD, coaching is as, if not more, effective than medication for managing the symptoms of the condition.

What is it?

Becca offers 1:1 coaching packages and retained coaching services designed to increase your neurodivergent employee’s self-awareness, identify helpful coping strategies and improve employee productivity and confidence.

“I just wanted to thank you so much for the session we had last week. It’s been such an education experience and has sparked some real personal learning.

It felt so nice to be myself and speak openly and be understood.

It’s something I really didn’t know how to approach at all and you have made me feel incredibly capable and it’s a power I didn’t know I had in some respects.

Thank you for your time!”

Research Manager, Talent Insight Group

"I’ll be honest when I heard people talk about neurodiversity, it never crossed my mind it might relate to me.

Being dyslexic is something I have avoided talking about and have always considered to be a barrier and something that held me back.

After speaking to Becca, I release now it’s not a ‘failing’ it’s simply a divergence. I proudly added “dyslexic thinking” to my LinkedIn profile this week.

Thanks again for this amazing service.”

We offer the following consultancy services:

  • Recruitment consultation – we work with you to review your recruitment process from job advertisements to your new hire starting and help you make it as neuro-inclusive as you like. This enables you to access a larger talent pool.
  • Workplace consultation – taking into account company aims, including KPIs, we work with you to identify opportunities for improvement or create a targeted neuro-inclusion plan for your company.
  • Service/Product consultation – we work with you to identify how to increase the neuro-inclusivity of your product or service. This will allow you to attract a wider audience.

Our associate Rosie is a dyslexic/dyspraxic ADHDer, so has lived experience of how an atypical brain experiences the world. She used to be a teacher and her training degree had a heavy Special Educational Needs focus, giving her an academic understanding of the topic too.

She has experience with barriers to entry and workplace discrimination (due to her neurotype) across her 7 years working as a Design Engineer. This background gives her a passion to make change and makes her a great fit for supporting all types of companies.

Rosie is also a certified internal auditor for ISO9001 (Quality Systems Management) and ISO45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management) so sews the knowledge of the standards throughout her work.
